I hope you all are having a wonderful week!  As we begin the final chapter in Philippians, I wonder where the LORD will take us next for our Bible Study.  I prayed about it and have a few ideas.  I better start writing them down as they come though because I forget what they are! :)
Onward, my dear readers!

Philippians 4:1
Scripture

Observation
Again, Paul's affection for the Philippians is clear as he wrote:
1) my brothers and sisters, 2) you whom I love and long for, 3) my joy and crown and dear friends.  He also exhorts theme to stand firm in the LORD "in this way".
Application
As I typed, I wondered what my Abba Father wanted to teach me.  Immediately, I realized that this was another verse to pray over my children!  I love them so dearly and long for them when more than a day passes and I don't hear from them. They are indeed my joy and crown!  One of my greatest desires is for them to STAND FIRM in their faith, in their calling and in their love for the LORD!

Prayer

Oh God, how You have been directing me in this study!  You have been showing me so much!  Thank You!  I so appreciate Your direction with this verse - another one for my precious children!  Thank You, Dear Abba!

Baby Quilt
Yup, we know yet another first time grandparent - so naturally a baby quilt is in order!

This time I'm using a flannel panel (cute - that rhymes!) and a cotton backing I've been saving!  This quilt took quite a twist as I made a mistake when I was cutting the borders, so that orange flannel is my final border vs. more of the matching flannel.  Look how it all worked out!

Yup - "There are no accidents!" (Kung Fu Panda movie).  One could also say:

Because of that "accident",

- I know have enough fabric to make another baby quilt for another first born baby!  Can I finish these two this month?  We'll see!

  1. Hi,
Oh my - that is just the cutest panel I recall seeing lately. Look at that little bear peeking out with one eye. How can anyone look at that and not smile?!! The border is perfect, mistake or not. ~smile~ Roseanne
