A New Project. Saturday's Song. Quilty 365

A New Project.
Hi there!  I had so much fun today!  Every first Saturday of the month my LQS (local quilt shop) has a FAB class - "Fabric Acquisition Babes"! Don't you just love that name? Every month there is a different project, with a few Saturdays dedicated to "UFO's" (unfinished objects).

There were about 8 of us in the class.  I learned that this group has been getting together for decades!  They are a tight knit group and warmly welcomed me as one of their own!  It was an awesome  experience!

We began this quilt.

Here's my first block.
It has a ton of HST's, so this will be a leader/ender project for a bit.  :)

Saturday's Song.
Here is a song my grandbabies are learning!  Get ready to dance!

Did you dance?  :)

I kept up with June's blocks!

  1. Love that Cosmos quilt pattern. That song--it was my daughter's fav for a long time! And your Quilty 365 blocks are the best!

  2. Thank you for your kind comments! Really? My grandkids are really enjoying the song. My goal is to teach them one song a month! I"m so excited because I realized that my Quilty 365 is almost finished! I joined September 14, 2016! Are you participating in it as well? BTW, thank you for following me on Instagram! I was so pleased and followed you right back! :) Thank you for visiting!

    1. Thank you! I've been planning what I'll do with my 365 - maybe a large picnic quilt? Or perhaps a couple of smaller one....we'll see! :) Thank you for stopping by and commenting!

  5. Congrats on the June 365 Day Challenge. It is amazing how time-consuming making a little 4.5 inch blocks can be- right? Keep on keeping on.

    1. Thank you! It's a fun project. Next year will be more of a diary type of quilt, not that I have a year under my belt! :) Thank you for visiting!
