Wednesday's Word: Psalm 13. Wednesday's Wrap Up. I Like Thursdays.

 Wednesday's Word: Psalm 13

Isn't life interesting?  There are highs and lows, hills and valleys, joy and pain.
David begins Psalm 13 with feelings of abandonment and defeat,
but ended with rejoicing and praise.  What changed David's heart and attitude?  How did he go from defeat to victory?

Wednesday’s Word: Psalm 66:2. Wednesday's Wrap Up: Pen Holder. I Like!

Wednesday’s Word: Psalm 66:2

I loved this part of Lynn Austin’s Until We Reach Home!  On the entire journey thus far, Ludwig constantly encourages Sofia with Bible verses.  This time, however, he is discouraged beyond words and, though she tries, no verse she shows him breaks his despondency. But then, she remembers her precious Mama.  Thank God for spiritual Mamas!

Wednesday's Word: Romans 8:28. Wednesday's Wrap Up. I Like!

 Wednesday’s Word:  Romans 8:28

There are so many parts to this verse that one can study, especially when we read it context!  But, to be honest, when I am struggling or a loved one is hurting, this is the verse that comes to me.

Jesus Asked It #10. I Like Nursing Home Humor! Organizing Tool.

Jesus Asked It #10
Jesus Asked Series: 1,  2, 3, 4, 5678, 9
Ouch!  "you of little faith". How quickly we can forget who we are, who we serve, who our Daddy and Big Brother is!
I've been facing medical insurance issues lately and guess what?  I'm almost as upset as I was when we were battling these same issues back in 2014/2015.  Almost as upset.  Almost.  Progress not perfection.
"you of little faith."
I've progressed, yet still have so far to go.  Don't we all?
I can thank God for the insurance trails of this week because I not only see not only how far I have to go, but, more importantly, my progress, my growing faith, my growing strength - going from little faith to big faith.
Thank you, Jesus!

Thursday's Likes!
I've been eager to share pictures of my likes from San Diego and then I realized I don't many pictures!  I was too busy living to take them.  I'll be getting some from Daddy and then sharing them soon.

For some time I have been taking weekly pictures of some jokes that are written by someone in the nursing home where I sew with my friends.  My intention has been to share them on the LeAnn's I Like link up @ Not Afraid of Color.  Today's the day for Nursing Home Humor!
These signs have made me laugh every time!

I love this one - thought of my friend who says laundry is the bane of her existence!

Here's an update on Chico and Kitty's budding friendship which thoroughly enjoy watching bloom!

I love them so much!

Sewing Organization
I spent a lovely few days with Daddy and Mama that resulted in sewing taking a back seat.  In lieu of showing you a project, here is an invaluable organizational tool I use that costs $1.00 a tray at Dollar Tree.  The time factor is spending a day/afternoon cutting fabric for my various WIPs.  After that, I'm off and sewing until I run out of trays!
I cut my fabric and lay it out.  I'm making two versions of this block - 1930's and the fabric with the kit, so I stack them
or lay them out like this.
I store them on my sewing chair with the pattern on top of the corresponding block.  This is a system I use with all my current projects and it works quite well and takes up less space than a previous system I used!  It's a win-win!

Late Happy Labor Day! To Do Tuesday. Book Date.

Happy Labor Day!
Today's post will be short as I have enjoyed the last few days relaxing with my husband.  Last night my daughter and 8-year-old grandson came over to play with our new puppy, Chico, and Kitty.
My grandson and I practiced lassoing each other's arm and playing chase in the yard.  I tackled and tickled him a few times as Chico licked his face!
I thought there may be some pain in this grandma's body this morning, but my pain levels are normal - no increased pain!  Praise God!

Instead of a full Bible Study, I'll share this promise that has randomly popped up in my Bible Study two days in a row.  I wonder if He wants someone to read this as well?

To Do Tuesday
Last Week's List
1) Continue joining my Spring Granny Square Afghan. ✔

2)    Grandmother's Flower Garden Quilt    ✔

This Week's List

2)    Grandmother's Flower Garden Quilt
3) Continue work on Prayer Shawl #10. This will be easy to accomplish as I will be sitting in a couple of doctors' ofices today!

Grandmother's Flower Garden Progress
I'm 95% finished connecting Rows 1-3 and here are rows 4-5!
Chico decided to participate by helping me prematurely remove some of the papers....
 Luckily, he doesn't like fabric-
and I've learned
to store my projects in a safer place!  :)
