Hello there!

Thank you so much for stopping by!  I appreciate the time you spend here and hope you are blessed in some way!

Every day this week I've spent at least five to six hours visiting with friends and grandchildren.  We also experienced a major victory over cancer which I joyfully share in my Faith, Trust and Breast Cancer article.

Isn't life interesting?  There are highs and lows, hills and valleys, joy and pain.

David begins Psalm 13 with feelings of abandonment and defeat, 

but ended with rejoicing and praise.  What changed David's heart and attitude?  How did he go from defeat to victory?

Continued study of some of the verses shared in Lynn Austin's Until We Reach Home.

This verse from the Song of Songs took my breath away.

I immediately thought of my marriage.  We have faced numerous challenges in our many years of marriage.  I'm sure we are not alone there.

Saturday's Song

God is more than we think He is.  Even in our despair, even in our pain, He is more than we think He is.  This week, my beloved doggy, Mia, was so sick.  She may be still....we're waiting on test results.  
She is my baby.
She never left my side during treatment for cancer, unless I had to leave her while I went to appointments.  She was so loyal, she didn't leave my side to go potty and developed a UTI.
As I tried to gain my strength to walk again, we'd play ball.  Each time, she would drop the ball just a little further away so that I would have to walk just a little more to get it.  
And now, as I write this, she is in ICU and I weep.
But God is more than I think He is.  He not only knows my pain, my hurt, and my fear, He's with me.  
I trust in Him.

Slow Stitching
I started this Dresden Plate Mini Quilt and decided to hand applique the plates.  This will be my project today.  
UPDATE:  I found the pattern!  It's called "Baker's Dozen" by Suzn Quilts.  I'm almost finished appliqueing the Dresdens onto the background.  Next come the centers.  I'll be attempting needle turn applique with those....which me luck!

I'll also be picking up my hand pieced quilt (hosted by the Elm Street Quilts and Simply Everyday Handmade) again, continuing with block 9.
