Short and Sweet. Slow Stitching

Short and Sweet
Tonight's post will be short and sweet as it has been a busy, but wonderful day!

We went to church, out to eat and then my husband surprised me with a new bottle of fancy perfume!  Wow!

Just as I was cuddling in bed for a nap, my daughter called asking if I could watch Baby C - the two year old.  They were taking the oldest kiddos to a movie and Baby C needed a nap.....well yeah!

There's almost nothing better than napping with a baby!

Slow Stitching
I've made quite a bit of progress on my Around the House Stitching by Wild Olive! Because this is all hand sewn, I believe I just may try hand quilting this one.  I've tried machine quilting, but don't really enjoy it.  Maybe hand quilting is more my cup of tea.  We'll see.....I've never done it before so I may practice on some coasters first.

Plus, I finished the top, backing and piecing the baby quilt!  Quilting the sandwich is definitely not my thing, so my daughter generously offered to quilt it for me! Yeah!

Dear Friend, this is my truth!

  3. Baby cuddles are the best! Our youngest grandbaby turns two on Saturday, but she's still a snuggly napper and I love to rock her to sleep on a Sunday afternoon! Your embroidery blocks are a LOT of fun -- I hope you enjoyed your slow stitching and a happy weekend! :)
