365: Catch up on picking fabrics I'm excited to be working on a Christmas gift quilt! I know it's late in the season to get it quilted in time, but I at least I can show the recipient the top! Unless my daughter can do it.....We'll see! Either way, it'll be great! Dear Friends, This is my truth!
This reminds me of a post I read. It was titled: Intelligent, Stupid, It Does Not Matter.
Basically, Patric was addressing theapparent controversy regarding Psalm
23:1:
The
LORD is my shepherd,
I
shall not want.
Basically, we are to be as sheep following
our Shepard. I get that. But then, some pastors preach sheep are dumb
animals, to which some listeners may take offense. Others believe sheep are intelligent.
But what does it matter?
As long as people are following
Christ! And that is what Paul is saying,
“Whether Christ is being preached out of selfish ambition or love, as long as
people are following Christ, what does it matter?”
This is a hard verse to accept as many
abuses can befall when the former happens.
Aha! Let’s also remember verse 9:
This is why prayer is so vital. Especially this prayer! Because I now realize that is prayer is not only a superb
for our children, but also for everyone:
our partners,
our families,
our pastors and leadership,
our fellow congregates,
our governmental officials
at ALL levels,
our teachers as well as ALL personnel
involved in shaping our children’s minds.
and
for ourselves.
As we grow in Christ, so does our love,
knowledge and discernment.
PRAYER
Oh LORD, for me it is difficult to accept
the phrases, “What does it matter?”, or “It doesn’t matter.” My heart responds, “But…..”
“What if….”
“How can this be?”
So once again I have to turn to You and
Your Word for understanding and acceptance.
And again, Your Word points me to love, compassion and prayer.
Help me to live this out as I share this
message, oh LORD!
Be with us and let our love abound more and
more in knowledge, depth of insight and discernment, as well as strength and
courage!
Thank You for Your guidance and love.
Amen.
Beginners I have tried needle turn applique and realized I just felt overwhelmed. Perhaps because I have three major hand stitching projects going on: my Grandmother's Flower Garden, my Felt Lunch for my grandbabies and my Yo-YO quilt. So I switched to using interfacing, ironing on the design, than hand stitching it on. I also use my blanket stitch on my Bernina. But appliqued quilts are soooooo beautiful! And they look so peaceful! I want to make one someday! Yesterday I linked up to Kathy's Slow Sunday Stitching and I saw the prettiest applique project. It had an extreme loveliness that was so simply basic. I was in love and inspired. It was from Making a Lather. She said she was trying to learn to applique. And her work was lovely. It also looked doable. It was inspiring. So, maybe after Christmas? Maybe I'll learn. And instead of a quilt, start with something small, like a table topper, or a mug rug.
I am again encouraged, especially after I remembered and watched this video again! :)
Linky parties are the best because...well, for me, they're never ending sources of inspiration, learning, and encouragement. I love them! Thank you to all the hostesses of Linky Parties!

To Do List & Acceptance. This week's To Do List was a wash. And that's ok...which is saying a lot becuase I'm somewhat of a "Get the list done!", person. So, I'm super happy that I can let it go!

Most of the brother and sisters have grown in confidence in the LORD and are daring, yes, daring all the more to proclaim the gospel without fear!
Let’s look at this part:
And because of my chains,
Most of the brother and sisters
Have become confident in the LORD
Do you see the significance of that part of the verse??!!! It makes me want to dance!
http://www.angelfire.com/sd/kreelah/ani.html
Sometimes situations seem so rock bottom
that there’s nowhere to go
but up!
Most of the brothers and sisters saw no choice but to grow in confidence in the LORD and dare to proclaim – yes – proclaim the gospel without fear!
Paul did not use the word preach or teach, but “proclaim”! Proclaim:
: to say or state (something) in a public, official, or definite way : to declare or announce (something)
: to show (something) clearly
The word declare caught my eye. That's exactly what I picture the Philippians doing!
Declare:
: to say or state (something) in an official or public way
: to say (something) in a strong and confident way
: to tell the government about (money you have earned or received) in order to pay taxes
In the face of adversity they proclaimed the gospel in a strong and confident way! Wow! The very FOUNDER of their church was imprisoned!
But they did not falter!
Instead, their confidence in the LORD,
not in a man,
but in the LORD,
grew!
“And because of my chains,
most of the brothers and sisters
have become
more confident in the LORD…”
It was a process.
They faced adversity.
They had to have turned to the LORD.
He gave them so much confidence
that they began to proclaim His Word –
while the founder of the church was in chains.
APPLICATION
As I faced
breast cancer,
the memories of a painful past,
the memories of abandonment, My precious LORD and Savior was there to minister to me
WHEN I WAS READY.
Until then,
He waited for me.
And I AM BECOMING MORE CONFIDENT IN THE LORD!!
http://www.untilsheflies.com/?paged=13
Now I face
breast cancer with victory,
the memories of the memories of a painful past, the memories of abandonment with the knowledge that
I was NEVER abandoned.
And you know what,
you weren’t either.
And neither is your loved one
who is currently suffering.
PRAYER
Whew, LORD, this was a tough post to write!
Some warning would have been nice.
I’m spent.
But, Father, I know You are at work.
And I know You will refresh me. And I praise You for that!
Father God, I know there are people reading this who
are very sick,
are caregivers to the very ill,
have been hurt as I have been hurt,
or perhaps even worse than I.
Be there for them, my LORD,
as You were there for me. Father, bless myself, my readers and friends with Your presence, strength, confidence, and comfort. Thank you my LORD for all you have done in my life. Please continue to form me into the woman of God You would have be me. Amen!

I'm looking for some help with my blog regarding replying to comments. I review my comments on the dashboard of blogger. When I see comments, I publish them and then hit reply and respond to them.
So many of you reply to my comments via email. This is nice as it fosters friendships as well.
Here's my question:
When I reply to comments on my web page, does the person who commented get an email as well?
