Philippians 2:27 Part 3. Scrappy Sampler Progress!

Hello there!  It's good to see you again!  If this is your first time here, welcome!

This is the Scripture we are looking at this week.  I've broken it down into four parts because the "Application" part of our study is quite long and a bit deep.  In case you're jumping in the middle, in Part 1 we talked about God's mercy and Paul's use of the word "but" again.  Part 2 discussed the phrase "sorrow upon sorrow".  We'll continue on this discussion today.
Application con't
In your life's journey, have you encountered situations where it seemed like God didn't heal?
like you were experiencing "sorrow upon sorrow"?

I have.
I have seen pain in my own life - some self-inflicted, some inflicted upon me, some is just life.
Sadly,
I have seen loved ones die from illness.
I have seen friends mourn the deaths of their loved ones.
It seems so confusing when it appears that God has chosen not to heal.

A friend was praying for a young man who passed away last week from lung and brain cancer.  He left behind a loving wife and three children.  His six-year-old daughter said, "I want to talk to my daddy.  I'm only six years old.  This isn't fair."

And she's right.  During these times in our lives, it's truly a faith walk.  I have found that if I'm I'm honest with God in those times as well, He get me through with victory.  Sometimes, it takes time to feel victorious, but it happens!

Take heart my dear reader - especially if you seem to be in this situation!  I hear your pain!

Prayer
God, sometimes I don't understand Your will. Sometimes I do get angry with You, I get frustrated and scared.  But, You have brought me through much pain, sorrow and fear!  And, my dear Abba Father,
You intended to harm me, but God intended it for good to accomplish what is now being done, the saving of many lives.
Genesis 50:20 | image tagged in ocean | made w/ Imgflip meme makerYou have been so gracious to show me how You used many of these situations (even my own mistakes!) for Your glory!
Because of that, I have greater faith and strength and I know the victory is mine! Thank You Abba Father!
Amen.

Scrappy Sampler Progress!
I really wanted this layout for my Simple Scrappy Sampler, but it would make the quilt bigger than I wanted.
So this is my new layout!
I'm really liking the
purple sashing and plan to add cornerstones to the horizontal sashing (as suggested by my daughter)!
Hopefully this will be a flimsy

by the end of the week!

    1. Thank you so much! I stretched and went for it! I wanted to use my "go to" white, but that wouldn't have worked! I'm really liking it! Thank you for following! Some have been having trouble receiving my posts...not sure what's going on! I'll be posting the rest of the project this week and hopefully the finished flimsy!
