March 16: Matthew 28:20, Fiber Fun, Literary Life, Finding Joy

Hello There,
I'm so glad you stopped in for a visit!  This week has been an active one with the grandkids on Spring Break.  We've baked, swam (in an indoor pool), made several library trips and cooked!  You'll see pics of my grandson's creation in the Finding Joy section.

March 9: Philippians 2:12-13, Fiber Fun, Literary Life and Finding Joy

  Hello There,

Thank you for stopping by this week!  We had a wild weather week filled with blowing dust and allergies.  At times, our view was limited to only the houses across our street!  I'm praying for rain as more dust storms are expected.

Our precious Chloe was very sick, but is improving.  We are cautiously optimistic.  Our eagle-eyed groomer pointed out a rash on her tummy, so we treated it with the appropriate medications.  By the next morning she had a large, dark bruise in the same area.  After viewing the pictures, our vet wanted to see her immediately.  Blood work showed that she had zero platelets versus the norm of150,000!

February 23: Jeremiah 2:13, Fun Fiber Projects, Literary Life and Finding Joy

Hello There,
Thank you for visiting!  We've been home a week and I'm slowly getting back into a routine.  The weather has been so warm we took our portable greenhouse down so I could prune the plants and they could enjoy some nice temps.  I hope your weather is also enjoyable!
Please pull up a chair, get cozy and enjoy this weekly post.

February 16: Does Forgiveness Mean We're Losing? Fun Fiber Projects, Literary Life and Finding Joy

Hello There,
We've spent a wonderful 10 days in San Diego with my family.  Daddy is doing well - he's gained about 5 of the 20 pounds he lost.  So far no pain.  We are grateful for every day he is pain-free.  It's hard to believe the oncologist's prognosis as Daddy is doing so good!  Of course, Mama is happy and enjoying life.  I am so looking forward to our next visit!

The Cycle of Comfort Part 4. Reading, Stitching, and Gratitude!

 THOUGHT FOR THE WEEK

Hello There,

How nice that you've stopped by to visit!  We are concluding our study of Matthew West's song, "Truth be told", taking a peek at some books I've been reading, seeing what's happening in my sewing room with fabric, yarn and wool, and lastly, sharing some wonderful sights for which I am grateful!  I'm glad you're here!

The Cycle of Comfort Part 4:  Freedom in the Truth!

Part 1Part 2, Part 3

I love the ending of this song:
"There's no failure, no fall
There's no sin You don't already know
So let the truth be told"
Yes!  God sees everything about us!  He knows everything about us - even those so called "secret sins"!  He knows the darkest parts of our hearts - and guess what?

The Cycle of Comfort Part 3. Reading, Stitching, and Gratitude!

THOUGHT FOR THE WEEK

Hello There,

Thank you so much for visiting my weekly blog!  We are reflecting on Matthew West's song, "Truth Be Told", books I'm reading and going on my weekly Gratitude Journey.  I hope you enjoy your visit!

The Cycle of Comfort Part 3:  Come as you are

Lie #3:

"There's a sign on the door, says, "Come as you are" but I doubt it
'Cause if we lived like it was true, every Sunday morning pew would be crowded
But didn't you say the church should look more like a hospital
A safe place for the sick, the sinner and the scarred and the prodigals
Like me"
Oh, my heart is full and hurting when I listen to and even read these lyrics.  How can we help to set a feeling of welcoming for ALL in our churches?  How can we let EVERYONE know that they don't have to wear the "right" clothes, speak "properly" and other such foolishness to come to church to praise God and hear His Word?

He is Our Defender. Stitching, Reading, Crocheting. and " My Likes"!

 Hello There!

Happy Mother's Day to you all - to include the non-traditional mothers as well!  My sister does such a fantastic job of managing my parents' care, that I made her an honorary mom and we celebrated her as well!
