Tuesday' Thoughts: Psalm 15. To Do Tuesday. "I Like". Quilting Projects, Crocheting, New Recipes, Social Media Posts

Tuesday's Thoughts
When I read Psalms 15:1, my heart began to beat a little faster as my anxiety rose.  Would I be accepted in our LORD's sacred tent, welcomed to live with Him?
As I read the following requirements, my heart fell as I saw a list of my failings.....until Jesus Christ spoke to me.  We can choose to see the following list as list of our failings or a list of our accomplishments (for lack of a better word).  Perhaps it is even a combination of both!

Read it.

Go ahead.

What do you see?

2The one whose walk is blameless,
who does what is righteous,
who speaks the truth from their heart;
3whose tongue utters no slander,
who does no wrong to a neighbor,
and casts no slur on others;
4who despises a vile person
but honors those who fear the Lord;
who keeps an oath even when it hurts,
and does not change their mind;
5who lends money to the poor without interest;
who does not accept a bribe against the innocent.
Psalms 15:2-5a

For those who can accomplish this list, we have such a great promise!

As I reached out to my LORD and Savior, I asked Him, "But, LORD, I have failed You on so many levels!"

He graciously, tenderly, lovingly reminded me of grace.

Friends, we will all fail at one time or another, but if we go to our LORD and Savior and seek His forgiveness and truly repent, we are forgiven and our sins are tossed into the sea of forgetfulness.
What does repent mean?  According to Webster it means:

to turn from sin and dedicate oneself to the amendment of one's life

 Let us remember that we strive to be perfect as our LORD and Savior (Matthew 5:48), but we are human. Jesus died for our sins and we fall under this immense sacrifice of grace and love (2 Corinthians 5:21).

Be grateful for this opportunity! Truly repent and then start your life fresh under your loving Father's grace. You will be so glad you did.

To Do Tuesday Checklist
Last Week's List
  1. Turn Geckos All Around into a flimsy and make the backing. X
  2. Order the pictures for my daughter's Memory Book 2021. X
I finished the flimsy, but still need to make the backing.  I wanted it to look masculine.  It was too windy to hang on my clothesline, so I laid it on my lawn - hence the bumpy appearance!  :)

The backing should be done by tomorrow morning and then off to my precious long-arm quilter!
This Week's List
1.  My next project is a WIP:  the Qube Crush I started last year!  My goal is to cut 10 squares out.
2.  Order the pictures for my daughter's Memory Book 2021.
3.  Make progress on my afghan (see below).
4.  Make progress on sewing the binding on my St. Patrick's Day table topper.
Yes, my list is longer, but honestly, these are all projects I'm working on, so why not list them?  :)

I Like.....Quilty Projects!
Don't you just love a finished project?  I just had to add "Quilty Projects" to my categories of "likes".
I finished "Chico's Quilt" which is gift to my husband.  Here it is before washing
and after washing!

Isn't the quilting beautiful?  Thank you, Stephanie!
See that playful pup?  That wonderfully illustrates Chico's playfulness!

I LIKE...to crochet!
A very special couple I know has suffered a great loss, their mother/mother-in-law passed away from breast cancer.  As you know, that holds a special place in my heart.  He invited me over to deliver a baby quilt - they are new grandparents, so of course a quilt was in order!

Unbeknownst to me, the they were preparing to go to the services that afternoon.  Despite their pain, the entire family showed me such grace, that I just had to make them an afghan in hopes that it will bring them some comfort.  Here is the progress thus far.

Isn't it interesting how this yarn seems to change color based on the lighting?
Here is it in bright sunlight
and in the shade - without filters in either picture.

I Like Love....Yarn Bee Fireside yarn as it's easy to crochet with and projects go up quickly!

I LIKE.... trying out new low fat recipes!
Yes, strangely enough, I do in fact enjoy our low fat diet!
Here's our latest meal that we loved!

This Tender and Juicy Pork Loin Recipe is fantastic!  I skipped the rub because I use store-marinated pork loin.  As you can see, I used a wide variety of veggies.  There's rarely any leftovers with this yummy recipe!

I LIKE....these Social Media posts!
Chris's cookies are the best!

You read my reading heart with this post, @the_bookish_scorpian!

Mandisa's music has been ministering to me for for over 5 years....She's a special singer! Don't you agree with this post?
