This week I was surrounded and then I heard this song, "Surrounded" sung by Michael W. Smith. I was immediately encouraged and reminded who my Savior is!
When we are surrounded, let us remember we are surrounded by God Himself!
Slow Stitching Sunday
Today I slowed down with crocheting. I made progress on my Spring Granny Afghan:
I also finished dishcloths 16-18/52 for the #yarnhoarderdishclothchallenge!
No fabric in/out.
With the completion of Prayer Shawl #9 and some more dishcloths, my yarn numbers are slowly moving towards the black.
I'm still working on building up the habit of sewing every day. I'm curious, because I do machine sew, hand stitch and/or crochet every day. Does that count? Either way, I machined sewed 4/7 days this week - the same as last week! And most of those days were at least an hour long or more! Yea!
Thank you to Kate at Life In Pieces for this challenge!

The afghan looks good. I consider anything I do to move a project forward creative time. it's all good.
ReplyDeleteThank you for your comment about the afghan and time! I'm so pleasantly surprised at how pretty the afghan is coming out!
DeleteYour Spring Granny Squares are very pretty. As for as what to count for the 15 minute challenge, that's up to you. I count the time spent on anything that moves a project forward (that can mean spending time on the computer working up a layout or making a label). I count both handwork and machine time. So count what works for you.
ReplyDeleteYea! Then that would be every day of work! Days just don't feel complete without creating something! I guess I need to learn to be gentle with myself - as much as I say that, I should apply it to myself! LOL! :)
DeleteLOL! I meant every day of the week!
DeleteAll who fear him, but we fear him in a good way and praises that he's with us always. :)

Yes! You know, it took me a while to understand "fear Him in a good way"....I'm so glad He's patient with us! Thank you for hosting and stopping by!
DeleteIt is good to be surrounded by God, of His love and of His care. Your Spring Granny afgahn turned oout beautiful. I love the fresh colours. :-)
ReplyDeleteIsn't it so comforting to see ourselves surrounded by Him?! Thank you - I'm enjoying seeing it come together!
DeleteMy goodness, that's a huge number of links ups. I find it hard to visit everyone on one link up...you must keep really busy. LOVE your granny ghan...so cheery. Always fun to meet new bloggers.
ReplyDeleteYes, it is a lot of link ups - and I enjoy each one as I get to meet new people as well as visit old friends. But, I don't visit everyone on each link up! Then who would have time to sew? :) I usually visit and comment on the posts before and after my post as well as the hostess' post. Thank you - I am surprised at how pretty the afghan is coming out! I'm so glad you stopped by! Hopping over to visit you! :)
DeleteYou are making great progress on the afghan! Enjoy your slow stitching!
