Weekly Word: Joy Comes in the Morning + Books, Stitches and Gratitude!

Hello there!

Thank you so much for stopping by!  I appreciate the time you spend here and hope you are blessed in some way!

Every day this week I've spent at least five to six hours visiting with friends and grandchildren.  We also experienced a major victory over cancer which I joyfully share in my Faith, Trust and Breast Cancer article.

Weekly Word: Managing Curve Balls + Books, Stitches and Gratitude!

Hello there!

Thank you so much for stopping by!   I hope you all are doing well!  I missed visiting with all of you last week!  We had an unexpected and pleasant 6 days with our grandchildren - all four of them!  They range in age from 12 to 5 years old.  The way my daughter has raised them made it so much easier as each child has their own chores and "The Bigs" helped so much with "The Littles"!

I greatly enjoyed my time with them:  conversations with the oldest two, playing with the youngest, sewing and reading Nancy Drew with my granddaughter, seeing how responsible they are and, of course, story time!  They loved listening to Sideways Stories from Wayside School, a series their mother enjoyed as a child.

Onto this week's post filled with God's Word about processing curve balls, some sewing projects, books, gratitude for things I liked these past two weeks as well as a short paragraph on living with/post cancer!

Weekly Word: Quilting Devotional + Stitching and Gratitude This Week!

Hello there!

Thank you so much for stopping in today!  It's nice to be home after our week in San Diego.  I seem to be on a machine sewing streak as well as prepping new projects.  We have had a week of lovely rainstorms!  Poor Chico has been sleeping with us as he is terrified of thunder!  He's a great cuddle bug!

Weekly Word: Holding His Hand + Stitching and Gratitude This Week!

Hello there!

Thank you for stopping by for a visit!  We just got back from visiting my family in San Diego where the weather was perfect and the gardens gorgeous!

Happy Father's Day to all those dads out there!  I hope your day is wonderful filled with family, love, laughter and good food!

I have been responding to comments via email, but have gotten several back as "undeliverable".  Has that been happening to you as well?

With all my sewing projects getting prepped, I was running out of binding clips, yet loathe to purchase more.  You'll find an economical binding clips hack in my Tuesday To Do section!

Weekly Word: Unto To Thee + Stitching and Gratitude This Week!

Hello there!

Here in Las Cruces, out temps have been over 100 degrees!  We now make sure our errands are completed by 11:00 am!  I'm also adding an extra, 5 minute run of our sprinkler system at dusk.  Whew!

I have to say I'm still enjoying having a retired husband at home!  We're going on 8 weeks and still loving it!  True story:  when he would go to work after a week or so at home, I'd shed a few tears as he drove off.  Yes, after 42 years, I'd still miss him.

I hope you enjoy this post as you find encouragement in the Weekly Word, learn how I've backslid in my reading habits, joined a new BOM and found gratitude in the every day.

Thank you so much for popping in!
