Saturday's Song & Health update. Slow Stitching. Stash Report.

Saturday's Song & Health Update
Perhaps a few of you have noticed my absence from "Bloglandia" this week.  Since the last week of August, I have been in a fibromyalgia flare up - experiencing unusual pain, fatigue and, now, burning, neuropathy-like pain, in my feet, especially in my left foot.    It's been almost a year since these ailments have reared their ugly head.  Praise God, I have been able to work thus supporting my sweet Student Teachers.

I may be in pain, have to rest more than I would like, and be unable to do all I would like but I am victorious!

This is my song today, my way of sticking my tongue out at the defeated one. God is bigger than the boogie man!

You may not see as many posts for a little while, but I can still read my Bible, pray, craft a bit and I made it to church this morning!  I'm also posting my daily devotional Scriptures on Instagram. I know you'll be patient and understanding during this time of sporadic posts because...well....that's just how we roll!

Today I did a bit of crocheting on this little guy.  He's my September 1 Xmas Item A Month.  There's not much to show yet, but there will be soon!

Mostly, I'm resting and writing blog posts.  :)
Stash Report
I added 6 yards to my fabric stash, sewed a couple of blocks and discovered a new series of patterns.  I'm eager to share all these new sewing studio events!
I finally settled on a background fabric for this $7.50 quilt!
Many of my projects are long-term BOMs/QALs, so fabric usage isn't really showing right now.  It's ok....I'm having so much fun in my studio.

I also finished dishcloths (corrected numbers) 24-26/52 for the #yarnhoardersdishclothchallenge!

Silly me!  I updated my yarn numbers to show the usage!  :)

Saturday's Song - The Words I Would Say. Slow Stitching.

Saturday's Song:  The Words I Would Say
If I could see you all face to face, these are the words I would say!

You are going to do great things, believe in God and in yourself!

God bless you all as you go forth as Abraham did!

Today I'll be working on Prayer Shawl #10.

This one is going to an elderly, dear friend of mine who is currently feeling the adverse effect of chemotherapy.  Just the same, her spirits have been buoyed up as God has moved to allow her daughter to move back to our fair city!

I'll also be working on my Grandmother's Flower Garden and Yo-Yo Quilt.

Silly me - I forgot to share the photos of the yarn I bought for $6 at a garage sale!
I joined our LQS's $7.50 club and needed fabric for the background.  I played it safe and went with a neutral:
beige.  I'm waiting for the first meeting to steal ideas be inspired!  :)

Saturday Song: by the artist: T.E.S.T. Slow Stitching Sunday. Stash Report.

Saturday Song:  T.E.S.T.
I know this young man very well, yes I do.  T.E.S.T. stands for Through Eternity Standing Tall.  He bases his music on this Scripture:
He just released this album and I couldn't be more proud of him.  If you know someone who is struggling in their faith, this music will touch their hearts.  Just forward this link to them.
By the way, yes, I do like Christian rap....
:)

Today I worked on the Patchwork Pussy Cat - and finished her!  She was stuffed, stitched up and is ready for my granddaughter to enjoy at Christmas!

She's really curious about the little birdhouse my granddaughter made for me!
She loves the it!

The Kitty used a bit of fabric, but other than that, no changes.

Kate at Life In Pieces has motivated me to try and sew at least 15 minutes a day.
This week I managed to sew 4/7 days.  I'm pleased because those days I sewed an average of an hour a day!

15 minutes stitching days/week = 4/7 days

Saturday's Song: Oh My Soul. Slow Stitching. Stash Report. A New QAL!

Saturday's Song:  Oh My Soul
Someone who knows part of my story said they were angry at God on my behalf.  They wouldn't blame me if I lost my faith...and I have on occasion...many occasions.....
Until it didn't.
What changed?
My heart.
I finally let Him in.

And I was right to do so.
Because today my life overflows with
joy,
peace,
love,
giggles,
faith,
trust,
healing
and so much more!

Would you consider letting Him in?
I promise you -
it's right to do so.

This Sunday I plan to make some more white yo-yos so I can add another flower this week. I auditioned this flower, but I think it's too dark.  We'll see which flower ends up there.
Any opinions would be welcomed!

Here's the progress on my Still Stitching project.

I made a numbering mistake, which is now fixed.  So, my fabric numbers are a bit more in the red.

Also, I decided to join many of you at Life In Pieces by Kate!  The goal is to sew every day for at least 15 minutes a day.
So, this week I managed to sew 6/7 days and wow!  A lot is getting done!
