A Psalm of David, when he fled from his son Absalom.
1 O LORD, how my foes have increased!
2Many say of me,
“God will not deliver him.”
Selaha
3But You, O LORD, are a shield around me,
my glory, and the One who lifts my head.
4To the LORD I cry aloud,
and He answers me from His holy mountain.
5I lie down and sleep;
I wake again, for the LORD sustains me.
6I will not fear the myriads
7Arise, O LORD!
Save me, O my God!
Strike all my enemies on the jaw;
break the teeth of the wicked.
8Salvation belongs to the LORD;
may Your blessing be on Your people.
Selah
- shield
Tell me, if you understand.
3. Prepare/make a kit
- I've been away from my Fields of Fancy BOM for so long, I will be reviewing what I have prepped so that can make my "Focus List" DONE! I was pleasantly surprised to see how many hexagons are prepped! I can get right to stitching!

I'm sorry for your loss... how old was your father when he passed? I am looking after my elderly parents and while I know they will be going to a better place, I am not looking forward to saying goodbye.. I enjoyed looking at all of your projects and found you from the 1Xmas item a month blog - I need to start posting there again too! xx
ReplyDeleteMy friend Cindy is deeply depressed after the recent passing of her husband. A friend recommended a book to her that she said is helping. It's Grief Day by Day by Jan Warner. She said, though, that it mostly talks about the grief that comes from the loss of a spouse. Maybe it's at your library and you can see if it might be helpful.
ReplyDeleteI'm eager to read books for the Immigration Challenge in particular. Humor helps me a lot these days, and I saw a silly video yesterday where the Indigenous People ICE were escorting European Americans back to their home countries!
Sorry to hear about your son's migraines. That sounds terrible. Glad he's starting to feel better.

A quiet week is a good week. I hope you are doing well. Love seeing your projects I have pulled out the sewing machine a few times for small projects in our new house, but not on any type of regular schedule yet.
ReplyDeleteI smiled when you said your son wanted pizza, but you thought chicken noodle soup! At least you know he's feeling better. Those red and white ornaments are just gorgeous - hooray for finishing them! The fabric for your disappearing 9 patch look really pretty - have fun sewing!
ReplyDeleteYou’ve really had a productive week! I’m glad your son is feeling better
ReplyDeleteI’m delighted that you have joined the Nonfiction Reader Challenge.
Wishing you a wonderful week
A pizza request is a good sign a loved one is healing. I'm with you, chicken soup is probably easier on a digestive system that hasn't been up to par for a while. Those ornaments look great! Congratulations on your finish!--TerryK@OnGoingProjects

I'm so sorry for your loss. My best friend's husband just passed away at the age of 46. I had only met him a time or two (our friendship is mostly long-distance) but I'm sad for her.
ReplyDeleteI'm glad your won is feeling better though and that you're feeling up to doing some of your projects. Your quilt and the ornaments are beautiful!
Welcome to the Immigration Challenge! Good luck with all of your goals!
Glad you are "finding your land legs" - it's a slow process and the grief waves still take me down every now and then.
ReplyDeleteYour ornaments turned out so great! Glad to hear you are getting back to some sewing.
A quiet week sounds like a good week. I recommend GriefShare.org. It was recommended to me, also.
