Hello Everyone in "Bloglandia"! I hope you all are doing well and enjoying our wonderful month of so many celebrations!
I am slowly returning to normal after a fall season of health ups and downs. New meds, new routines and rest have been so helpful! As my siblings and I begin to care for my ailing father, posts will be less frequent than before, but still infused with love, faith and, of course, crafty news! I so appreciate your patience!
Here is our Saturday's Song! Enjoy!
This song is such a beautiful, gentle declaration of our Lord's faithfulness and our victory in Him!
Slow Stitching
Last time I mentioned I was working on this little dinosaur. It's a fun pattern, but definitely harder on my hands.
Here's what he looked like a few days ago.
I'm also working on an Amigurumi Winnie the Pooh for another grandchild.
Here's our poor fragmented Pooh Bear.
Not to worry, he'll soon be put together!
I kept up with the #yarnhoardersdishclothchallenge. Here are some of the dishcloths I created.
They have been packaged up and given to friends in and out of the various weekly groups I join.
I plan to continue this tradition as it seems to bring such joy to the recipients and myself!
Stash Report
I've decided to pause on my stash report until January as I've lost track of it when I was sick. In 2019 I plan to only track what I use and am setting a tentative goal of sewing up 100 yards of fabric and 200 ounces of yarn. Between afghans that are almost finished, the dishcloths and sewing projects, I'm hopeful to meet that goal!
Take good care everyone!

Fun projects! Take care and have a good holiday.
ReplyDeleteThank you! The same to you! :)
DeleteLove the colors of your dinosaur it's going to be so cute, even deconstructed I see Winnie coming together nicely. Your dish cloths are lovely and you have a wonderful goal for 2019. This year I would like to use only what I have in my stash and see what develops.
ReplyDeleteThank you for your kind, thoughtful comments! I enjoyed making each project and am looking forward to a "crafty" 2019! I have pulled some self made kits from my yarn/fabric stash (fabrics I bought together to make a quilt) and hope to get through them this year! Fingers crossed! You know, I think Beth over at Love, Laugh, Quilt had your same goal for 2018 and she turned out some beautiful projects! Good luck!
DeleteSo glad you're doing better. You've been missed on Sunday Scripture Blessings. Merry Christmas.
ReplyDeleteAwww! Thank you so much! I'm slowly integrating blogging into my life again. Blessings and Happy New Year!
DeleteI admire people who can make knitted 3D creatures...it looks so complicated to me!
ReplyDeleteMerry Christmas!
It can indeed be complicated simply because I have to keep track of the number of stitches. These are actually crocheted - I imagine knitted ones would be even more challenging! Merry Christmas to you and a Happy and Blessed New Year!
DeleteWhat nice projects. I plan on attempting to learn again in 2019 lol I wish you well with your father!
ReplyDeleteThank you for your kind wishes for my dad! What fun to learn to crochet again! I look forward to seeing your creations!
DeleteIt was so nice to see a new blog post. I missed your blog. Thanks for the nice song. So exciting with the dinosaur and winnie the Pooh you're doing. I hope you had a happy Christmas. Take care! :-)
ReplyDeleteThank you, Birthe! I've been following you via Instagram. You're such a talented crafter and photographer! I hope your Christmas was blessed and that you have a Blessed New Year!
